Welcome to the Maya2DTS Online Reference. Here you will find a general reference guide for using Alias Maya to create shapes and animations for the Torque Game Engine as well as some basic tutorials to get you going with the Maya2DTS exporter. This site only provides information and documentation for using the exporter. Questions regarding the source code should be directed to Clark Fagot of BraveTree Productions.

Maya2DTS File Pack [ Download | Info ]

This file pack contains the exporter plugins, MEL scripts, examples, and all files from the tutorials. This file includes all of the files listed below.

Maya2DTS Exporters [ Download | Info ]

Beta versions of the Maya2DTS exporters for Maya 4.5-6.x for Windows and Maya 6.x for OS X. dtsUtility.mel is included. Presently, the stable and most feature-complete releases are for Maya 5 for Windows and Maya 6 for OS X. The exporter for Maya 6 for Windows has not been thoroughly tested at this time. Support for other versions is forthcoming.

dtsUtility.mel [ Download | Info ]

dtsUtility.mel is a GUI front-end for the Maya2DTS exporter. It provides options for simplifying scene setup, configuring export settings, and actual exporting of scene objects to DTS and DSQ file formats.

Default Player for Maya [ Download ]

A complete set of player animations that work with characters exported with the Maya2DTS exporter. Thanks to Ori Cohen for doing the file conversions. This download also includes Joe Marushcak's Blue Guy saved as a Maya scene file.

Also, the contents of these documents may not match up exactly with the features in the publicly available version of the exporter. Until the exporter is in final release, these documents should be considered works-in-progress.
